Day 1: Antananarivo > Tsingy of bemaraha > Morondava 

Transfer to Tana airport and boarding of our privatized plane. 

Direction due west and the Bemaraha National Park for the flight over one of the most extraordinary landscapes: The Tsingy. These are real limestone cathedrals, cut out of dense networks of faults, crevasses and sculpted blocks.

The formation of this Middle Jurassic massif began 200 million years ago, when the sea still covered the Bemaraha region. Then this immense plate of corals and shells rose up. Exposed to the open air for 5 million years, the rain, the wind and the weather have done their work of erosion.

Arrival in Morondava and transfer to the hotel. 

In the afternoon, we will  discover the famous Allée des Baobabs. We are there at the right time, the sun is low, the light is beautiful, the smooth trunks reflect the orange rays of the sun. Great photos are coming.

Day 2: Kirindy Forest reserve  > Antananarivo

Departure from the hotel with our 4×4 to the Kirindy reserve. With a local guide, visit the dry forest in search of lemurs. We may be lucky enough to see a Fosa, the largest of the Malagasy predators.

Lunch at the restaurant and return to Morondava airport for the flight back to the capital.

Transfer to the hotel in the city center.

Day 3: Antananarivo > Maroantsetra > Tampolo 

Transfer to the airport.

Your pilot welcomes you at the reception of the charter company.  SCHEDULED CHARTER FLIGHT

With no check-in and no time wasted, your adventure begins quietly and without hassle. After a flight of about 2 hours with a magnificent view of the steep hills and rainforests of eastern Madagascar, you descend to the bay of Antongil and land at the airport of Maroantsetra. 

Upon arrival, you are greeted by the staff of the hotel and transferred by private boat to the island of Nosy Mangabe and the village of Tampolo nestled in the rainforest.

Before dinner, your guide will reveal the possible excursions for the next few days.

Days 4 to 6: Masoala peninsula and Antongil bay 

Make yourself comfortable at Masoala Forest Lodge and choose from a wide range of activities.  

Take guided day and night hikes through the forest to spot wildlife or birds.  

Go for a swim in the sea or in the forest’s small streams or take a guided kayak tour on the sea.  

Whale watching (seasonal) in the bay or fishing are also on the agenda. In the warm, coral-rich  waters of Tampolo Marine Reserve, you can snorkel right off the beach. Explore the islands, reefs, rivers and deserted beaches of the protected coastline by kayak or simply enjoy the sunset over the forested mountains. 

Day 7: Tampolo > Maroantsetra > Antananarivo 

And because everythings has an end, you leave this wonderful place on this day. 

We are sure you have enjoyed it all, and you will keep good memories. 

Your host will farewell you to the boat for Maroantsetra. 

Transfer by vehicle to the airport where your plane will be waiting for you to return to the Tanal.
