Accessible only by helicopter from Nosy-Be or Diégo Suarez, Nosy Ankao is located off the northeast coast of Madagascar. Spreading over an area of 10 km², this place is the largest of the five islands of the archipelago bearing the same name. For travelers wanting high quality service, Miavana is a must, while Nosy Ankao is a permanent invitation to explore virgin forests, filled with lemurs. Day 1: Antananarivo > Diego Suarez > The 3 bays

We join the Indian Ocean to discover three small beautiful bays. We walk along the beach and make the most of the spot to relax and swim. We organise your picnic.
Drive to Joffreville in the mountains.

Day 2: Montagne d’Ambre & Nosy Ankao
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to the park of the Montagne d’Ambre and, with a local guide, start your visit of this beautiful rainforest. This is the first national park created in Madagascar. It has special vegetation with tree ferns, palms, orchids and several rare species of trees. Waterfalls and crater lakes decorate our walk. There are seven kinds of lemurs in the forest, we can see crowned lemur, Sanford lemur. Plus some chameleons, gecko, leaf tailed gecko and many colorful birds.
We go down to Diego’s airport. The hotel’s helicopter is waiting for you for a transfer to the archipelago of Nosy Ankao on the west coast in the Indian Ocean.
Just the flight over the area is an enchanting experience. A friendly welcome on what will be your island for the next few days.

Few words about MIAVANA
