Rivers and canals

ALONG THE PANGALANES CHANNEL – 10 DAYS
ALONG THE PANGALANES CHANNEL – 10 DAYS
The Pangalanes channel is 665 kms long from north to south, the train from Manakara to Fianarantsoa, the Highlands and lemurs in Périnet are featured in this wonderful trip to Madagascar. An original discovery of the country. After Fianarantsoa (an area famous for its tea and wine), we take local transport to get to and along the East Coast: train, bush taxi, boat. The pace is deliberately slow to allow us to go to meet people and create the exchange. Our accommodations are simple, sometimes in cottages, sometimes in tents.

TSINGY, LEMURS & BAOBABS – 7 DAYS
TSINGY, LEMURS & BAOBABS – 7 DAYS
This one-week itinerary takes you to the west coast of Madagascar between the coastal town of Morondava and the Tsingy de Bemaraha. Exciting discovery of this UNESCO World Heritage site. We spend 2 days to better understand this amazing landscape. Our chaotic track weaves through the middle of this wooded savannah, the red ribbon of laterite is simply cut by the two ferries allowing us to cross the rivers. The lemurs of the Kirindy reserve in the heart of the dry forest allow themselves to be photographed. Here the baobab is king, it punctuates the landscape with its slender and massive presence and the Alley of the Baobabs is an excellent representation of it.
RN7 AND THE EAST TRAIN – 13 DAYS
RN7 AND THE EAST TRAIN – 13 DAYS
This tour is an invitation to discover the incredible diversity of the Great Island: hikes in the fertile Highlands and the rippling rice fields, quiet villages and children laughs, train crossing towards the lush of the East coast, quiet navigation by canoe on the Canal des Pangalanes which watersides planted with spices and coffee, strange and attractive nature of the great Ranomafana rainforest in contrast with the arid plateau of Horombe, walking through beautiful canyons of Isalo eroded by water, route to Mozambique Channel with singular tombs. Our last stop to enjoy the seaside is the turquoise lagoon of Ifaty on the lands of Vezo fishermen.

MALAGASY WILDLIFE – 15 DAYS
MALAGASY WILDLIFE – 15 DAYS
In Madagascar, wildlife is everywhere! From North to South, from East to West… mammals, reptiles, batrachians, fish, butterflies and birds inhabit this nature sanctuary. Madagascar National Parks manages 43 parks, but there are nearly 120 protected areas which are distributed across the country under various categories. It is difficult not to forget anything as this fauna, whose rate of endemism reaches 80%, is rich and diversified. It is present all over the island, in the heart of the dry or humid forest, in the savannah and the thorny bush, at the bottom of the canyons, at the edge of the lakes and rivers... and of course, in the magnificent seabed of the Indian Ocean. We are going to meet this unique heritage in the heart of some of the most renowned reserves and national parks in Madagascar.
