The starting point of Malagasy tours is from the most beautiful lagoons of this Great Island, Ifaty, in the country of Vezo sea nomadic fishermen. We travel across large plains of palm trees and baobabs to join the ruinform massif of Isalo. The highlands crossing offers to travelers another face of Madagascar, marriage of rice and water. A flash passage in Antananarivo to discover this commemorative site of Merina monarchy and Malagasy history. The road to the east opens us its luxuriant reserves, rich in butterflies, chameleons and lemurs. Last stopover in Sainte Marie (Nosy Boraha), peaceful island with paradise flavors . For big cetaceans lovers , plan to travel in July, August and September to observe the ballet of whales!

The most complete trip possible to discover the different regions of Madagascar. Each has its population, its ethnic groups, its way of life, its rhythm. The atmospheres are not the same whether you are in Diego or Fianarantsoa, the people are different, their daily life too. From the nonchalant and colorful north in the Nosy Be region to the central Highlands where the rice terraces draw the hills. From the Baobab forests of the West to the white beaches of Ste Marie.
This route allows you to visit several parks and reserves and to understand the many biotopes of the country and to meet many species of animals that inhabit these diverse environments.

For the most complete possible discovery of the Great Island, its landscapes, its culture and its population.
Our goal with this trip is to make you appreciate the variety and diversity of Madagascar. To the south, by the famous National 7 and the national parks of Ranomafana in the forest and Isalo for a short hike. To the north, in the Diego-Suarez region, we visit the Amber Mountain National Park and the Tsingy of Ankarana. End in apotheosis on the beaches of Nosy Be for a relaxing stay.
This tour is an invitation to discover the incredible diversity of the Great Island: hikes in the fertile Highlands and the rippling rice fields, quiet villages and children laughs, train crossing towards the lush of the East coast, quiet navigation by canoe on the Canal des Pangalanes which watersides planted with spices and coffee, strange and attractive nature of the great Ranomafana rainforest in contrast with the arid plateau of Horombe, walking through beautiful canyons of Isalo eroded by water, route to Mozambique Channel with singular tombs.
Our last stop to enjoy the seaside is the turquoise lagoon of Ifaty on the lands of Vezo fishermen.

It is just an approach because time is limited, traveling several months is needed to apprehend a large number of Madagascar birding sites.
Malagasy aviary is unbelievable ! not particularly by its density but its endemism above all, 107 endemic species amongst 294. Nowhere else but here, in this region, in this Reserve or National Park, in this valley to encounter this or that species. That is the case for the Fitatrala (Copsychus albospecularis), the Firasa (Accipiter madagascariensis), the Akohonala, the crested Ibis (Lophotibis cristata) … and many others !
You are with a specialist !
Best months: october – november
In Madagascar, 80% of the population lives off the land. Farmers, breeders, they are the ones who feed the country! Rice, in quantity, but also a lot of market gardening, cash crops (cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cloves, ylang-ylang). The zebu is everywhere and in all daily activities. We go to meet Malagasy farmers to learn and exchange.
Our route takes us along the Hauts-Plateaux to Fianarantsoa, from there we reach Manakara aboard the very picturesque train and then sail on the waters of the Pangalanes Canal. The lemurs then await us in the Ranomafana reserve before our return to the capital.
We recommend for this trip the periods from January to April.
A malagasy botanist leader, particularly more about orchids, is guiding you along the travel in Madagascar. There is no need to go deep or up high in mountains (perhaps …), the most important is to be at the right place at the right time ! You will be satisfied by the richness and the beauty of Madagascar orchids.
This trip is organised in February and March only.

These "COMFORT HIKING" trips allow you to go hiking on the main spots of Madagascar without having to sleep in a tent. All nights are close to the sites, in charming and quality hotels.
As an appetizer, a walk on the Hauts-Plateaux, to meet the population.
Then the National Road 7 towards the South offers us the monumental granite blocks of Tsaranoro and the mischievous lemurs of the Anja reserve.
Finally, it is the Isalo massif which presents itself to us with its canyons and its dry forest. The road takes us to one of the most beautiful lagoons in Madagascar, Ifaty. We will let ourselves be seduced by the tranquility, the beauty and the hospitality of this land of the Vezo fishermen.
For lovers of beautiful treks, we invite you to discover the greatest spots in Madagascar between Antananarivo and Tuléar, along the RN7.
Eleven days of committed hikes reserved for good walkers (minimum 6 hours per day).
We walk on the Highlands and in the Zafimaniry Country to meet village life, moments rich in encounters and exchanges.
We then continue in the Andringitra Massif with the ascent of Pic Boby, the Isalo National Park and the famous and isolated Makay Massif.
The evenings are around the wood fire in the company of our guides and porters, the nights in tents. Our trip ends in Ifaty for a few days of relaxation at the edge of a sumptuous lagoon.
Madagascar has a botanical heritage of unparalleled richness; it is in itself a true biodiversity concentration!
Aloes, Didieracea, Euphorbias, Kalanchoe… 95% of succulent species are endemic. Very present in the Great South of Madagascar, we also find them in the highlands, along the West Coast up to the Cape of Amber.
Accompanied by a specialist of the Malagasy botany, we go off to explore this exceptional and amazing flora.
We recommend this circuit from mid-September to late October, but it can be done all year long.
