ANDRINGITRA & BOBY PEAK – 9 DAYS

The heart of this trip is an itinerant hike in the granite massif of Andringitra. It is a world apart, a world unknown and little traveled, which in no way corresponds to what we can imagine. Here, the foothills of the mountain are flooded with terraces, cultures combining the green intensity of primary forest and the gray austerity of granite peaks. Aesthetically, the mountains are very close to alpine landforms, only the vegetation differs. The large cliffs of Tsaranoro and Anja dominate the green valleys where small villages hide themselves away from everything. From the summits, the view is panoramic and embraces a vast territory. This land of trekking will delight all the unconditional of beautiful mountain roaming, spotted with magical encounters.

COMFORT HIKING IN THE SOUTH – 12 DAYS

These “COMFORT HIKING” trips allow you to go hiking on the main spots of Madagascar without having to sleep in a tent. All nights are close to the sites, in charming and quality hotels.

As an appetizer, a walk on the Hauts-Plateaux, to meet the population.

Then the National Road 7 towards the South offers us the monumental granite blocks of Tsaranoro and the mischievous lemurs of the Anja reserve.

Finally, it is the Isalo massif which presents itself to us with its canyons and its dry forest. The road takes us to one of the most beautiful lagoons in Madagascar, Ifaty. We will let ourselves be seduced by the tranquility, the beauty and the hospitality of this land of the Vezo fishermen.

COMFORT HIKING IN THE NORTH – 12 DAYS

These “COMFORT HIKING” trips allow you to go hiking on the main spots of Madagascar without having to sleep in a tent. All nights are at the hotel near the sites visited.

To visit Diego-Suarez is to discover a unique concentration of Yemeni, Somali, Chinese, Indian and Bantu origins. We hike in the freshness of the Montagne d’Ambre national park, populated by lemurs, birds, butterflies…

The walk to the 3 Bays is a delight. We walk on the beach until we arrive at Cap Miné with a view of the Emerald Sea. The Tsingy Rouge at the foot of the eroded canyons contrast with the surprising geological formations of the Ankarana National Park and the discovery of Malagasy rural life on the banks of the Sambirano River.

For our last stopover, we land in the enchanting setting of Nosy Be, the Island of Perfumes.

MAROJEJY AND ANKARANA – 12 DAYS

The region of S.A.V.A (Sambava, Antalaha, Vohémar, Andapa) one of the twenty two regions of Madagascar, belongs to the province of Diego-Suarez. It possesses in its heart a jewel named Marojejy, a magnificent massif peaking in 2133 m, very little frequented and the object of a trekking of exception. Luxuriant vegetation, surprising fauna, fascinating hiking – Although not easy! We visit the region during the first part of this journey then go back towards Diego-Suarez, taking time to visit the site of Daraina and its lemurs, the reserve of Ankarana and its famous Tsingy, and to make a bend towards the Tsingy Rouges. Very close to Diego, we invite you to two beautiful hikes in the Amber mountain and in the Three Bays, at the edge of the Indian Ocean.

MALAGASY AGRICULTURE – 12 days

In Madagascar, 80% of the population lives off the land. Farmers, breeders, they are the ones who feed the country! Rice, in quantity, but also a lot of market gardening, cash crops (cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cloves, ylang-ylang). The zebu is everywhere and in all daily activities. We go to meet Malagasy farmers to learn and exchange.

Our route takes us along the Hauts-Plateaux to Fianarantsoa, from there we reach Manakara aboard the very picturesque train and then sail on the waters of the Pangalanes Canal. The lemurs then await us in the Ranomafana reserve before our return to the capital.

We recommend for this trip the periods from January to April.
